Collaboration between police, treatment, and community to help drug users

Deflection is connecting drug users with treatment pre‐arrest. To make this kind of approach work, PTACC (Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative) has for years focused on demonstrating the value of deflection programs, and offering recommendations and considerations for evaluation in further deflection efforts.
