A EFICÁCIA DA LIBERAÇÃO MIOFASCIAL EM ATLETAS DE VOLEIBOL REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA DOS EFEITOS DA LIBERAÇÃO MIOFASCIAL COMO PREVENÇÃO DE LESÕES MUSCULOESQUELÉTICAS

The objective of this study is to examine the effectiveness of the myofascial release technique in reducing pain and recovering from musculoskeletal injuries in professional volleyball players. A qualitative literature review was conducted using a selection of articles published between 2009 and 2024 in the SciELO, PubMed, PEDro, LILACS, and Google Scholar databases. The results showed that myofascial release offers benefits such as a linear decrease in pain, improved muscle flexibility, and improved recovery. It can be concluded that the myofascial release technique is an effective therapeutic strategy for the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, and is recommended for sports physiotherapy, especially high-performance volleyball. It is concluded that the technique is widely used, yielding effective results for both injury prevention and treatment, and is recommended in sports physiotherapy, especially for high-performance volleyball athletes.
