FARKLI ÖĞÜTME KOŞULLARININ SERAMİK ÜRÜN ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

This study proposes an alternative to the conventional grinding method used in producing casting sludge in the ceramic industry. Quartz sand and albite were ground both separately and as a mixture for varying durations. Ceramic sludges were prepared using albite ground for 3 hours and quartz sand ground for 5 hours, and their rheological properties along with the characteristics of the sintered products were tested. Additionally, sludge was prepared by co-grinding both materials for 5 hours, and similar tests were conducted. The findings showed no significant difference in the properties of the final ceramic products between the two methods. However, individual grinding reduced total grinding time and proved to be more energy-efficient. Thus, separate grinding of raw materials can be considered a viable alternative to the traditional method, offering benefits in terms of time and energy savings without compromising product quality
