Prediction of Toponium levels using a Logarithmic potential model

The original idea of this paper stems from the 11th International Conference on Cosmic Rays held in Budapest in 1969. At that time, the transverse momentum distributions of pions, which are the decay product of the “fire ball” produced in the cosmic-ray interactions, were investigated based on the quark potential model. Nowadays, this is well known as the hadronization process of quark pair. We predict the toponium masses using the mass relation of the upsilon resonance states derived from the measurements by the accelerator experiments, m_Υ(n) = 0.81∙ln(n) + 9.46 GeV where n = 1-7. The toponium masses, m_T, are predicted as to be m_T (n) = 0.81∙ln (n) + 347 GeV. As a remark, however, toponium decays into Wb-pairs, therefore a competing state may be actually observed between resonance and decay states. In any case, the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), which is currently being planned at CERN, has an energy of 190 × 190 GeV, therefore, our prediction can be verified by the CLIC experiment in the future.
