Analisis Nilai Kearifan Lokal pada Nilai Pelestarian Lingkungan dalam Festival Arakan Sahur di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat

This paper analyzes the value of local wisdom in the context of environmental preservation contained in the Arakan Sahur Festival in West Tanjung Jabung Regency. This festival is a tradition that has existed for a long time and functions to wake people up for sahur during the month of Ramadan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving interviews with the community, participants, and organizers. The results of the study indicate that although there are positive efforts such as distributing garbage bags and using recycled materials, the implementation of environmental preservation is still not optimal. Socialization of regulations is limited, supervision is informal, and law enforcement is not yet effective. This study recommends improving public communication, active community involvement, and educational law enforcement to ensure the sustainability of this tradition and maintain environmental sustainability.
