『Joseon Dynasty Siltok』-

This study examines the utilization of historical knowledge in digital spaces. Focusing on commenting as an active engagement with historical knowledge, it adopts a qualitative content analysis approach. Our findings reveal three key patterns. First, commenters supplemented or challenged historical facts by, constructing the past from academic perspectives. Second, they connected past events and figures to contemporary issues, reflecting on modern society or emphasizing national identity. Third, some participants engaged with historical knowledge in a playful manner through humor and parody. These patterns demonstrate a strong presentist approach to history, suggesting that such engagement can function as a narrative strategy to encourage empathy and historical thinking. This study recommends reconstructing historical content for educational purposes so that learners can apply historical knowledge to real-life contexts in the digital age.
