Promoting Gender-Inclusive Policies in Religious Communities
This article explores the institutionalization of gender equality in religious communities through the design and implementation of inclusive policies. It examines processes of participatory policy development, transparent implementation, and continuous monitoring, showing how structured frameworks translate equity into practice. Case studies from Uganda, Pakistan, Brazil, India, South Africa, Nigeria, and the United States demonstrate how gender-inclusive policies can reduce resistance, enhance legitimacy, and foster cultural transformation when aligned with both local traditions and international standards.
