In January 2021, a salvage excavation was conducted in Sacher Park in Jerusalem (Permit No. A-8941; map ref. 219684/632304; Fig. 1) prior to development work. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Moriah Company, was directed by O. Bejarano (photogrammetry), with the assistance of M. Hagbi (archaeological inspection), N. Nehama (administration), S. Halevi (field photography), and A. Peretz, K. Arbiv, Y. Zelinger and A. Re’em (scientific consultation).
