FOLIE À DEUX ASSOCIATED WITH PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES USE: A CLINICAL CASE REPORT
Shared (common) delusional experiences are rare manifestations of mental disorders. Today, nosologically in ICD-10, this symptomatology is characteristic of "F24 Induced delusional disorder" (IDD), but in practice such a diagnosis is made extremely rarely. The main criteria of F24 include: more than one person shares a delusion similar in content and supports each other in this belief; they have a close, intimate relationship; the delusion was induced in the passive member of the couple through contact with the active partner. An analysis of publication activity indicates the presence of works describing individual clinical cases of IDD. Cases of the development of acute psychotic products similar in content within the same family, in patients with dementia, individual clinical cases, and IDD in forensic psychiatric practice have been described. References to joint (common) delusional experiences due to the use of psychoactive substances (PAS) in open literary sources are present in a limited volume. Such conditions are relevant for research in terms of determining the nosological affiliation and assessing the potential risk of manifestation of PAS-induced endogenous psychotic disorders, especially in young people.
