RESECTION AND RE-GRAFTING OF AN ANEURYSMAL FEMORAL-POPLITEAL GRAFT: A CLINICAL CASE REPORT
The great sephanous vein (GSV) is considered the gold standard for use as a conduit in arterial revascularization procedures. However, in some cases (absence of a vein, small diameter, loose type of structure, repeated operations), vascular prostheses are used. When using any grafts, the risk of complications remains, both in the early postoperative period and in the long-term period. We report a case involving a functioning aneurysmally modified biological femoral-popliteal bypass, observed over a long term follow-up of four years, along with a bypass procedure utilizing a synthetis prosthesis.
