COMPARATIVE ANTIOXIDANT AND HYPOLYPIDEMIC EFFECTS OF ROSENBACH AND REGEL ONIONS INFUSIES (IN EXPERIMENTAL)
The article provides a comparative study of the hypolipidemic and antioxidant properties of Rosenbach (siyohalaf) and Regel (mohdil) onions in experimental animals. These wild-growing, edible types of onions are widely used in folk medicine of Central Asia to increase appetite, improve digestion and regulate metabolic processes in the body, which is explained by their high content of vitamins and microelements. It has been proven that infusions of Rosenbach and Regel onions are quite effective in reducing the high concentration of atherogenic lipoproteins, reducing the level of malondialdehyde (MDA), while simultaneously increasing the level of superoxide dismutase (SOD). This indicates the normalization of lipid metabolism and the antioxidant system by infusions of Rosenbach and Regel onions and therefore they can be recommended as a dietary supplement in the complex treatment of metabolic diseases.
