THE MODERN APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF MEDICINAL PLANT RESOURCES

Abstract The study of the state and prospects for the use of domestic medicinal plant raw materials is an important area of pharmaceutical science. The study of the state and prospects for the use of domestic medicinal plant raw materials is an important area of pharmaceutical science. The aim was to assess the state of populations of 30 wild medicinal plants species, which growing in the Middle Urals. The article presents the results of resource and phytochemical studies. Raw material reserves are considered as significant, moderate and minor. Wild medicinal plants listed in the Red Book have been identified and their harvesting is prohibited. Quantitative analysis of the biologically active substances in raw material samples was carried out according to the State Pharmacopoeia XIV and XV editions. The results are entered into the electronic cadastre “Medicinal Plants of the Middle Urals”. Electronic thematic maps are currently being constructed. The research results can be used for the development territory of the Middle Urals territory, as well as in the context of issues of rational use of natural resources and import substitution.
