DETERMINATION OF THE AMOUNT OF CAROTENOIDS IN EXTRACTS OF FRUITS OF HIPPOPHAE RHAMNOIDES L., GROWING UNDER CONDITIONS OF INTRODUCTION
Seabuckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) of the loch family (Eleagnaceae Adans.) is a perennial dioecious shrub native to cold temperate regions of Europe and Asia, included in the State Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation. The fruits of seabuckthorn plants synthesize a significant amount of antioxidant compounds with high pharmaceutical significance. The objects of the study were the fruits of 2 samples of the studied species. Extraction was carried out by heating with a return refrigerator in a water bath. A comparative analysis of the amount of carotenoids in alcohol extracts in terms of β-carotene and their total antioxidant and antiradical activity was carried out. Sample No. 2951-11-05 is noted as a source of antioxidants.
