DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYSIS OF DENTAL FILMS CONTAINING MEDICAL PLANT TINCTURES
Abstract In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of diseases associated with inflammatory periodontal lesions, but the effectiveness of existing therapy remains insufficient. Achieving greater effectiveness in the treatment of dental diseases is possible through the use of dental films that may contain drugs of various spectrum of action, as well as provide their local and prolonged action. The article presents the results of the development of dental films containing tinctures of calendula and meadowsweet, and their combinations with synthetic antiseptics, which are intended for the treatment of diseases of the oral cavity. The development of optimal formulations and technological scheme of the production of dispersible on oral cavity films based on hydroxyethyl cellulose is described; the antimicrobial properties of the obtained samples are studied. The presented data indicate the prospects of using combinations of herbal tinctures with synthetic antiseptics for the treatment of periodontal inflammatory diseases.
