Spatial-temporal differences and influencing factors analysis of coupling coordination development among digital economy, green finance, and total factor carbon productivity

Under the background of digital development, the coupling coordination development of digital economy, green finance and total factor carbon productivity provides an important way to achieve the goal of "dual-carbon". Therefore, this research analyzes the spatial-temporal characteristics and drivers of their coupling coordination through methods such as Dagum's Gini coefficient, spatial auto-correlation model, standard deviational ellipse model, and geographic detector. The study finds that: First, the coupling coordination degree decreases spatially in the order of "East-West-Central-Northeast," and spatial differences are shrinking. Second, there is a significant positive spatial correlation in coupling coordination, but this auto-correlation is weakening. Third, internal and external factors affect the coupling coordination degree, with openness, industrial agglomeration, and digital innovation being the main drivers. Therefore, this study provides theoretical support and development path for promoting the improvement of national carbon productivity and facilitating the global realization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
