Research and exploration on the application of digital twin technology and geographic information technology in the construction of smart campus in universities
In recent years, the use of digital twin (DT) has proliferated across various fields and industries [1], showing great potential in various fields. It can create virtual digital models of physical, and these virtual models can interact with the physical entities in real-time and synchronize their states. As the technology continues to mature, digital twin technology has begun to the field of education, especially in the application of smart campuses in higher education institutions. By creating virtual copies of the real world, digital twin technology enables real-time interaction and analysis, while geographic information technology (GIS) provides the ability to manage and analyze spatial data. This paper aims to explore the application of the integration of digital twin technology geographic information technology in smart campuses of higher education institutions, in order to improve campus management efficiency, enhance learning experience, ensure campus safety, and promote the optimal allocation educational resources.
