Application of a building structure whole life cycle operation and maintenance management system based on building information modeling and digital twin

Effectively managing building structures throughout their whole life cycle to ensure safety, efficiency, and convenience in residential, production, and working environments, while promoting the development and application of green building technologies and sustainable practices such as low carbon and environmentally friendly solutions has always been a challenging issue in the fields of structural health monitoring and smart operation and maintenance. To address the aforementioned issues, a whole life cycle operation and maintenance management system for building structures was developed based on BIM and digital twin technology, combined with data lightweight and three-dimensional modeling using the Kriging interpolation algorithm. The system was practically applied and achieved favorable results by the project of the Hohhot Production Dispatching and Command Center, providing insights and references for the future promotion of intelligent technologies and the construction of smart cities, green cities and low-carbon cities.
