MODELING THE SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF ECONOMIC RESOURCES IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION
This article examines the impact of digitalization on the spatial distribution of economic resources. A theoretical review of key concepts and models underlying economic geography and the digital economy is conducted. It is shown that digital technologies are transforming traditional locational factors by reducing the importance of physical distance and increasing the role of digital infrastructure, data accessibility, and network connectivity. Modern modelling approaches are analyzed, including GIS, spatial econometrics, agent-based modelling, and big data analytics. Major challenges are identified: data scarcity, ethical risks, technological dynamism, and the digital divide. The paper outlines prospects for future research and emphasizes the need for an interdisciplinary approach to developing adaptive models of spatial development in the digital age.
