Sivil havacılıkta çalışan bağlılığı ve performansı artırmada katılımcı liderliğin rolü: modern yönetim perspektifi
The study aims to investigate the effects of participatory leadership on employee commitment and performance enhancement in the Turkish Civil Aviation Sector. It is believed that investigating the concept of employee commitment is a crucial factor in understanding the impact of commitment on work outcomes and the workplace environment. It is thought that workplace commitment can be likened to supporting a football team in Turkish social life, where emotionality is always at a high level. Therefore, the study also investigated the effect of participatory leaders on improving performance and increasing employee commitment in the civil aviation sector in general. In the survey, employees working in civil aviation organisations within the borders of Istanbul, which is known to be the centre of the Turkish civil aviation sector, were included. To assess the suitability of the scales used in the study, a pre-test was first administered to a group of 60 participants. After the information obtained was examined using CFA, it was determined that there were no statistical obstacles related to the scales in the results. Therefore, it was decided to apply it to the leading sample group. Five hundred seventy-nine usable data points were obtained from the survey forms completed by participants in the study from relevant organisations between 21 and 31 May 2025. Although there are many studies conducted on the civil aviation sector, it is thought that the study will bring a different perspective to the literature, especially in terms of the lack of studies examining the effects of employee commitment and participatory leadership together in improving performance, and especially in terms of investigating the impact of the concept of participatory leadership in the civil aviation sector.
