A Extremely Low Side Lobe Cassegrain Antenna for Microwave Backhaul Application
An extremely low side lobe Cassegrain reflector antenna for microwave backhaul applications is proposed. The antenna adopts splash plate technology, and the dielectric block is used to connect the circular waveguide and the sub reflector. The antenna has a bandwidth of 10.7% from 21.2 GHz to 23.6 GHz with a peak gain of 41.63 dBi. By adjusting the near-field radiation pattern of the radiation source, an extremely low sidelobe level can be achieved. The antenna yields the advantages of extremely low sidelobe level, high gain, high aperture efficiency and low cost. The proposed antenna is used for microwave backhaul applications.
