A Wide-Angle Dual-Polarized Multibeam Flat Lens Antenna for Millimeter-Wave
In this paper, a wide-angle dual-polarized multibeam flat lens antenna is proposed for millimeter-wave. The proposed dual-polarized multibeam lens system consists of a dual flat lens and five dual-polarized feed sources. A dual-polarized structure consisting of a dipole and a metasurface is proposed as the feed source, achieving an operating bandwidth of 25% and a port isolation of over 25 dB. Using the offset feed illumination strategy, the flat gradient index lens is designed. A combination of the dual-lens configuration and heterogeneous beam element arrangement is developed to achieve wide-angle scanning under planar integrated feed. The simulation results show that a wide beam coverage of around ±45° has been achieved. The peak gains of x-and y-polarizations are 19 and 18.5 dBi, respectively.
