An Electromagnetic Positioning Method Based on the Magnetic Dipole Model
The positioning method based on the magnetic dipole model is usually carried out using static magnetic coils and dynamic magnets as experimental devices. Generally, the position of the magnetic source is determined based on the amplitude, phase, peak-to-peak value, and other information of the signal received by the magnetic sensor from the target magnetic source. Due to the unique properties of electromagnetic signals, this method has high positioning accuracy in the near field and has good applications in marine environments and geological exploration. This paper proposes a simple coordinate calculation method based on the cosine relationship between the three-axis magnetic field coil and the magnetic sensor, and constructs an experimental setup to verify this theory. Experiments have proven that the method proposed in this paper has good positioning accuracy in the near field and strong resistance to environmental interference.
