Survey on Question Answering System with Emphasis on Method and Evaluation Metrics

Question Answering (QA) Systems are an automated method of retrieving correct answers to questions posed in natural language by humans. The primary goal of a quality assurance system is to facilitate man-machine communication. We studied different research articles in numerous aspects, such as the dataset used for assessments and the different methodologies used for QA system to get a comprehensive picture of them. Furthermore, each work’s performance in terms of accuracy, recall, F1 measure precision was demonstrated. Furthermore, the present issues in the QA system has been described, which will serve as a benchmark for future studies.
