A method for measuring the initial group-velocity of fragments based on high-speed photography

Aiming at the difficult problem of fragment initial velocity test in damage effect test, a fragment velocity test method based on ultra-high speed photography is designed. This method cleverly makes use of the characteristics of high-speed photography with high time accuracy, turns the fragment in-flight target signal into light signal, blocks the explosion glare and smoke from entering the test field of view, overcomes the harsh environmental interference, and ensures the safety of test equipment. The problems of low acceptance rate, poor accuracy and difficult engineering practice are solved. The experiment shows that the method is simple, feasible and effective.
