Impact of Magnetic Field Surge Interference on IGBTs in Inverter Circuits
This paper investigates the effects of non-contact magnetic field surge interference on IGBTs within inverter circuits, where the susceptibility of IGBTs to external magnetic field disturbances is examined. Experimental results indicate that the magnetic field surges can induce significant voltage and current fluctuations. Due to the presence of parasitic inductance and capacitance, the inverter circuit exhibits damped oscillation phenomena. Further, the fluctuating output current could lead to an operational instability or failure of the IGBT.
