A TGV-Based High Gain THz End-Fire Antennain-Package with Parabolic Reflector and Inverted-T-Shaped Directors

This paper proposes a high gain terahertz (THz) end-fire antenna-in-package (AiP) with parabolic reflector and inverted-T-shaped directors based on through glass via (TGV) technology. The antenna employs a monopole radiator utilizing TGV technology, achieving enhanced end-fire radiation characteristics through a parabolic reflector configuration and inverted-T-shaped directors. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed design exhibits an −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 203–243 GHz, with a peak realized gain of 8.76 dBi at 230 GHz. The overall size of the proposed antenna is <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\boldsymbol{\lambda_0 \times 0.86 \lambda_0 \times 0.15 \lambda_0}$</tex>.
