Solar Powered Smart Agriculture System and Protection of Crops using Smart Fencing System

Agriculture nowadays needs smarter, more sustainable methods to meet the rising demand for food while addressing environmental challenges. This work presents a solar-powered smart agriculture system that combines renewable energy with IoT-based automation to improve efficiency and sustainability in agricultural practices. Power-driven completely by solar energy, the system delivers an environmental and low-cost solution, mainly appreciated in off-grid or remote areas. Real-time monitoring of temperature, soil moisture, and other environmental conditions is done using IoT sensors. A microcontroller processes this data to automate irrigation and fertigation, ensuring accurate and effective use of water and nutrients. The system also comprises smart electrical fencing, which boosts crop safekeeping by preventing animals and intruders without the need for continuous human supervision. Agriculturalists can monitor and control the complete system remotely by using mobile application, making farm management more manageable and responsive. This combined method supports climate-smart agriculture, increases productivity, saves resources, and improves farm security all while decreasing dependance on conventional energy sources.
