Analysis of Detection Performance of Frequency-Stepped Radar Signals Based on Ambiguity Function

As an important radar signal mode, frequency-stepping radar signal plays a key role in modern radar systems. The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively evaluate the detection performance of frequency-stepping radar signals through theoretical analysis and experimental verification. Firstly, this paper introduces the signal characteristics of typical frequency-stepping radar signals, and on this basis, the fuzzy function model of the frequency-stepping signal is established, then the performance characteristics of the signal is analyzed accordingly. At last the accuracy of the theoretical model is verified by simulation experiments, and the experimental results show that the frequency-stepping radar signal has better detection performance and can achieve efficient target detection and positioning.
