Research on Electromagnetic Scattering Measurement of Plasma Flow Field Based on LFM Signals

This paper focuses on the research of electromagnetic scattering measurement of plasma flow field based on Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signals. We have built a ground test platform for a broadband radar system based on LFM signals, and used this platform to complete the measurement of the target's Radar Cross Section (RCS) and one-dimensional range profile under different frequency and bandwidth conditions. The experimental results show that the effect of the plasma flow field on reducing the target's RCS varies under different frequencies and bandwidths, specifically, the reduction effect is better at lower frequencies and higher bandwidths. In addition, the plasma flow field also affects the sidelobe level of the one-dimensional range profile, and the influence is more significant at lower frequencies. These results are of great significance for understanding the interaction between the plasma environment and electromagnetic waves, and provide key references for the design and optimization of radar systems working in such environments.
