Advanced Osteoporosis Prediction Among Postmenopausal Women using FRAX® and Turnover Markers

Osteoporosis continues to be a major public health issue among postmenopausal women because of heightened bone fragility and fracture susceptibility. Prompt identification of high-risk people is essential for prompt intervention and preventive measures. Traditional diagnostic instruments often do not include biochemical markers with clinical risk factors, leading to diminished prediction precision. FRAX®, a commonly used instrument, assesses fracture likelihood based on demographic and clinical factors, although omits dynamic bone turnover activity. An integrated model integrating FRAX® scores with bone turnover indicators, including CTX and P1NP, is created to boost predicted accuracy. The materials and techniques include the analysis of clinical profiles in conjunction with biochemical indicators to develop a risk stratification framework. The methodology utilises multivariate logistic regression to associate FRAX® estimations with turnover marker levels, providing a composite risk score. This methodology enhances osteoporosis prediction by integrating clinical and metabolic data, hence facilitating superior diagnostic decision-making in postmenopausal health management.
