El lenguaje como contexto de lo psicológico: función versus morfología en el estudio del comportamiento lingüístico
This article points out that, among the diverse approaches in the psychology of language, the most suggestive trend is the behavioral current, because it conceives language as the context of the psychological. This expression draws on Wittgenstein's concept of the "form of life" applied to language, in the sense that it approaches it as an encompassing conventional framework that gives meaning to human behavior. This perspective goes beyond the mere formal-morphological analysis that has characterized most psycholinguistic and constructivist approaches, focusing instead on the function of verbal-symbolic exchanges between individuals. From this point of view, the proposals of J. R. Kantor and B. F. Skinner, as well as the contributions of their followers (Ribes' interbehaviorism and Hayes' relational frame theory), are deemed the most appropriate. This assertion is justified in philosophical, theoretical, methodological, and technological terms.
