Design and Performance Analysis of a Phased Array Transceiver Using SystemVue
This paper investigates a phased array transceiver system using SystemVue. The fundamental principles of the phased array and its beam control mechanisms are examined. This transceiver encompasses a phased array wireless communication channel, baseband signal modulation and demodulation, and a dual downconversion receiver architecture. Meanwhile, this paper also investigates the generation mechanism of receiver image frequency and elucidates the rationale and advantages of dual downconversion receiver architectures. The simulation results in SystemVue demonstrate the noise figure (NF) and the image rejection ratio (IRR) have been effectively improved by using dual downconversion receiver architecture. A 256-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) with 800Mhz bandwidth is tested and the received signal's error vector magnitude (EVM) is 1.853% and its signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is 30.349 dB, both of which meet the 3GPP standard.
