Adaptive UDP-Based Image Transmission for Industrial Vision in Dynamic Deployment Scenarios

In order to improve the image transmission performance in industrial vision scenarios, this paper proposes a new image transmission protocol. In four typical deployment environments (including bandwidth fluctuation scenarios), such as X86 + Windows + 10Gbps, ARM + Linux + 10Gbps, the protocol is compared with the standard 10G GigE Vision and the 2024 AI optimized transmission algorithm (AI-Protocol). The results show that the throughput of this protocol is better. For example, in the ARM + Linux environment, it is 1.6% higher than 10G GigE Vision and 1.9% higher than AI-Protocol; the packet loss rate is lower, and in the bandwidth fluctuation environment, it is close to zero packet loss, which is better than the other two algorithms.
