Manhole Monitoring System

This paper proposes a real-time IoT-based Manhole Monitoring System to enhance urban drainage safety and efficiency.Using ESP32 microcontroller integrated with sensors (MQ-4, MQ-7, float, tilt, temperature), the system detects water levels, toxic gases, temperature, and tampering events.Data is wirelessly transmitted to a cloud dashboard enabling remote alerts and proactive maintenance.This smart infrastructure reduces manual inspection, enhances worker safety, and supports predictive analytics for smart city integration.
