CURRENT CONCEPTS OF FOREIGN BODY GRANULOMAS AFTER THE USE OF DERMAL FILLERS

Background. This review examines the current concepts of the pathophysiology, clinical picture and treatment methods of foreign body granulomas after the introduction of dermal fillers. Main content. Differential diagnostics and diagnosis present major difficulties in the work of cosmetologists when patients come with complaints of nodular formations. Delayed-type reactions and biofilms can serve as differential diagnosis in case of suspected foreign body granulomas. Conclusions. Based on the literature data, international experience of colleagues and their own clinical observations, the authors propose to use the developed algorithm for the tactics of managing such patients.
