Synthesis of analytical laws for stabilizing short-period longitudinal motion of UAV at the absence of angular velocity measurement information

An approach that provides a solution to the problem of stabilizing short-period longitudinal motion of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which is described by a linear stationary third-order model in the absence of angular velocity measurements, is proposed. The analytical solution is based on the original decomposition of the original system model and the relationship between modal state control and modal output control through the specified values of the roots of the closed-loop control system established in this paper. The proposed approach is used to synthesize control laws. The simulation results for a hypothetical UAV are presented. Keywords short-period longitudinal motion, unmanned aerial vehicle, output control
