Vulnerable categories of students in the socio-pedagogical dimension

The article examines the issues concerning vulnerable categories of students in the socio-pedagogical dimension, which are directly related to social support and adaptation within the educational environment. Identifying factors of vulnerability allows for the recognition of the main barriers that students face and outlines effective mechanisms for their support. The purpose of the study is to analyze the specific conditions of students at risk, to identify social, pedagogical, and psychological obstacles in the learning process, and to substantiate approaches to ensuring equal access to education and social integration. The article clarifies that vulnerable categories include individuals who, due to socio-economic, psychological, or medical factors, experience difficulties in their educational activities. Particular attention is paid to internally displaced persons who, as a result of the war, have been forced to change their place of residence and face additional adaptation challenges. Another important factor is the state of students’ physical and mental health, which affects their academic performance and psychological well-being. In addition, pedagogical barriers are examined, which can significantly limit students’ opportunities. As a result of the study, the necessity of developing a system of comprehensive support is substantiated, aimed at overcoming barriers, creating an inclusive educational environment, and forming strategies for social adaptation and equal opportunities for all students.
