Assessment of physico-chemical parameters and trace of micro bacteriological parameter for water bodies of western region of Ranchi district
Water is a crucial component for the existence of life on earth. Due to industrialisation and urbanisation groundwater quality are decline day by day. Consequently, water analysed should be required to maintain the quality of potable water. This study analysed physico-chemical and micro-bacteriological parameters of six different potable water samples of Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Potable water samples were collected from six different western regions (i.e., Burmu, Bero, Chano, Mandar, Itki and Khelari) of Ranchi for investigation purpose. The various parameters were analysed such as PH, TDS, EC, temperature, NO3-, Cl-, F-, DO, BOD, heavy metals and total coliform using standard method. Variance and standard error have been analysed to evaluate the error of parameters from their averaging existing values. The WQI value significantly observed for quality of drinking water. The observed physical and chemical analyses are applied to the real-world case study consisting of water reservoir for Jharkhand, India.
