PRACTICE OF USING TRADE CONDITIONS INDICES IN THE FIELD OF FOREIGN TRADE DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH

The article is dedicated to the theoretical aspects of the system of terms of trade indices and their usage to assess the growth of foreign trade. The use of terms of trade indices, along with calculated for export and import price and volume indices, makes it possible to identify the features and problems of foreign trade policy and to assess the impact of prices and volume changes on the dynamics of foreign trade value indicators. The study includes data covering Russia’s foreign trade from 2007 to 2023 year. During this period, the national and global economy went through a number of crises that affected foreign trade indicators. The work analyzes the depth of these crises according to the dynamics of foreign trade indicators and the factors that influenced this.
