Preliminary Study on Factors Influencing User Engagement in Social Commerce
Social commerce is the development of an ecommerce business that combines social media features. This development is certainly interesting and can change people’s transaction habits, which are felt to be easier to carry out with the integration of this technology. However, information quality, trust, and social factors influence transaction decisions and customer engagement. The core objective of this research is to confirm the variables and dimensions adapted from the literature review regarding optimizing social commerce user engagement. This research was conducted using qualitative methods through an interview process based on semi-structured questions. The results of this research show that variables such as social factors, technological factors, motivational factors, and relationship quality are considered to increase usage involvement. This is consistent with findings based on the literature review.
