The Impact of Knitting Practices and Creative Design on Digital Transformation in the Knitting
The knitting sector, traditionally known for its manual and time-consuming processes, is experiencing a shift towards digital transformation driven by innovative practices, knowledge transfer, and creative design. This study aims to investigate the impact of knitting practices, knowledge exchange, and creative design methods on accelerating digital transformation in the knitting industry. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing a survey with Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to individuals engaged in knitting-related activities. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS 4. The study assessed convergent and discriminant validity through outer loadings, Average Variance Extracted (AVE), Composite Reliability, and Cronbach’s Alpha. The findings reveal that all three factors knitting practices, knowledge transfer, and creative design positively and significantly influence digital transformation in the industry. The integration of digital knitting machines, 3D modeling, and technological expertise plays a crucial role in the sector’s ability to adopt digital practices. These elements collaborate to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in the knitting sector, positioning it for growth in the digital age. The study concludes that the synergy between traditional knitting practices and modern technological advancements can facilitate the industry’s adaptation to digital transformation, promoting long-term innovation and market competitiveness. Future research could explore the challenges and opportunities of further integrating digital tools into the knitting process to optimize the benefits of digital transformation.
