Easy Kost UI/UX Design for Streamlined Boarding House Management
Rapid urbanization in Jakarta, evidenced by 16,207 new residents in 2024, has intensified the demand for affordable housing, concurrently exposing significant inefficiencies in traditional boarding house management. This study addresses these challenges by developing Easy Kost, a mobile application designed to optimize the search, booking, and payment processes for boarding houses. Employing the Waterfall methodology, the research systematically progressed through user interviews, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), mockups, and rigorous blackbox testing to ensure robust functionality and user centric design. Continuous improvement is facilitated through monthly evaluations and feedback integration. The key findings indicate that the enhanced UI/UX and integrated automation significantly improve user satisfaction and operational efficiency for both owners and residents. These results underscore the potential of Easy Kost as a scalable and effective technological solution to alleviate Jakarta pressing housing management challenges, offering a blueprint for similar urban environments.
