The Impact of Information Quality on Consumer Trust and Repurchase Intention in E-Commerce
The rapid expansion of e-commerce in Indonesia has underscored the significant role of information quality in shaping consumer behavior. As reliance on online platforms continues to grow, the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of product information are critical factors in establishing consumer trust and satisfaction, which, in turn, influence repurchase intentions. This study investigates the impact of information quality on consumer trust and repurchase intention within e-commerce platforms. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing a survey of 300 consumers in Indonesia, analyzed using variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that information quality positively influences both consumer satisfaction and trust. Additionally, satisfaction and trust were found to significantly affect repurchase intention. These findings suggest that e-commerce platforms can improve customer retention by prioritizing high-quality information, which not only enhances trust but also boosts overall customer satisfaction and increases the likelihood of repeat purchases. This study offers valuable insights for e-commerce businesses in refining their information management strategies, highlighting the need for accurate, timely, and relevant content to strengthen consumer relationships and foster long-term loyalty.
