Securing Medicine Quality: A Blockchainpowered Approach to Pharmaceutical Integrity

The pharmaceutical industry is facing a few of the challenges like counterfeit medicines and substandard drug quality, transparency in supply chains. This leads to treatment failures or patient safety. This paper proposes an advanced solution of Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Internet of Things (IoT) against the concerns. Blockchain technology ensures transparency and immutability at all points of the medicine supply chain, from production to eventual delivery to the end users. IoT devices can observe the real-time environmental situations like temperature and humidity as a determinant of quality or integrity of medicines stored in and transported through the channels.AI algorithms used for anomaly detection, predict the risk of counterfeits, and identify the activities such as mismatched serial numbers and product movements. Such a complete system will help to assure full supply chain visibility, avoidance of counterfeit drugs, and best quality medicines. Using the technologies above, the presented solution ensures safe, genuine, and reliable pharmaceuticals products, leading to positive outcomes in public health results and trust in healthcare delivery.
