Harnessing Green AI among Indonesian Workforce: Empowering Environmental Efficacy and Commitment in the Digital Age
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in environmental sustainability initiatives has gained considerable attention, particularly in the context of Green AI. This research explores the impact of Green AI on enhancing environmental efficacy and commitment within organizations. The primary aim of the study is to examine the relationship between Green AI, employee engagement, and organizational sustainability. A cross-sectional quantitative approach, utilizing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), was employed to analyze data from employees across various industries. The study reveals that Green AI significantly influences both employee engagement and environmental commitment, with environmental efficacy serving as a key mediator in this relationship. The findings highlight that fostering employees’ confidence in their ability to affect environmental outcomes strengthens their commitment to sustainability efforts. Additionally, the research underscores the critical role of Green AI in promoting pro-environmental behaviors within organizations. This study contributes valuable insights into the potential of Green AI to drive organizational sustainability and offers recommendations for future research, including longitudinal studies and cross-industry comparisons. The findings have practical implications for organizations seeking to leverage AI technologies for environmental responsibility, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to employee engagement and environmental efficacy in the digital age.
