Design of a Cross-pol Ku-Band VSAT Network Using BDsat-01 for Hybrid Coastal and Maritime Connectivity

The deployment of Ku Band Hybrid VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) networks addresses the increasing demand for steadfast communication in coastal and maritime environments. This paper discusses the architecture, applications, challenges, link optimizations and future prospects of hybrid VSAT networks for maritime operations. With the integration of GEO Stationary satellite (BDsat-01) this connectivity with the studies of real world implementations this design segment is introduced. To address the work challenges in protection and prosperity in coastal infrastructure, monitoring stations and control centers are taken into consideration. Here the VSAT connectivity can be developed and implemented to enhance the hybrid terrestrial networks. In this paper a design and link optimization is developed a cross polarization based Ku Band (12.75 GHz) satellite network aimed at real time monitoring and surveillance system, strengthening maritime security, disaster preparedness and response, sustainable resource management, boosting the blue economy. With the development of robust networks of satellites can only be an option to optimize the connectivity. A MATLAB based simulation is established, and performance analysis at the application level is presented.
