AI-Powered Adaptive E-Learning to Improve Accessibility for Diverse Learner Demographics
The increasing global adoption of e-learning technologies has opened new avenues for flexible, scalable, and remote education. However, significant disparities in accessibility and learner engagement persist, particularly among users from diverse demographic backgrounds with varying levels of cognitive ability, digital literacy, and technological access. This research explores the development and application of AI-powered adaptive e-learning platforms designed to address these challenges by delivering personalized and inclusive learning experiences. The proposed system integrates machine learning algorithms and real-time analytics to tailor instructional content, interface interactions, and learning pathways according to individual learner profiles. Key features include content adaptation based on user behavior, accessibility enhancements for users with disabilities, and bandwidth-aware resource delivery for under-connected environments. A mixed-methods evaluation involving usability testing, learning analytics, and user satisfaction surveys demonstrates that adaptive personalization significantly improves learning outcomes, engagement, and perceived accessibility. The study contributes to the growing field of AI in education by offering a framework for inclusive digital learning environments and presents implications for future research in educational technology, digital equity, and intelligent tutoring systems.
