A Comparative Study of Property Rental Websites for Short-Term Stays: User Experience, Features, and Market Trends

In this review paper, we draw on numerous case studies to carry out a comprehensive comparative analysis of short-term rental platforms, considering how different properties listed and rented on these websites shape the unique experience of users from the perspective of travelers within the existing infrastructure of travel accommodations. With changes in travel behavior, the development of consumer preferences, and increased long-term work, short-term rentals continue to grow, so platforms like Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo have become critical to understand how they contribute to different expectations of users.Furthermore, the adaptability of these platforms is being considered in the industry’s judicial requirements, security measures implemented to maintain user trust, and mobile friendliness and security measures. The results provide insight into how large-scale industry actors are expected to evolve over the next decade, highlighting competitive positioning, investment opportunities, and potential market changes.Furthermore, this paper discusses specific market trends affecting the platform, industry competitive dynamics, and the impact of changes in regulations on short-term rentals.
