Data-Driven Geospatial Modeling Method for Wind Energy Potential Assessment
This study constructs a wind energy resource assessment model, quantitatively analyzing its technical development potential to provide scientific support for optimizing wind power industry layout and policy refinement. The research innovatively integrates big data and spatial geographic information technologies to establish a dual-module assessment system for onshore and offshore wind power: the onshore module incorporates terrain, land use, and meteorological data; the offshore module couples marine hydrological, and geological protection factors. Based on regional geographical characteristics and development constraints, the study simulates wind power installed capacity and generation potential. These findings provide quantitative decision-making tools for wind project siting, development sequencing, and grid integration matching, while the methodology framework holds applicable value for expansion to other renewable energy sectors.
