FEATURES OF THE ORIGIN AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STRATEGIES OF OVERCOMING STRESS BY STUDENTS IN CURRENT CONDITIONS
Modern challenges associated with increased academic workload, information overload, social instability, and prolonged Russian military aggression require a deeper analysis of the mechanisms of mental resilience of education seekers and the search for effective approaches to its formation and support. This article explores the phenomenon of psychological stress among students in the context of war, social instability, and academic pressure. The authors analyze the multifaceted nature of stress, identifying its physiological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral manifestations. Particular attention is paid to the impact of stress on students’ mental health, academic performance, and overall well-being. The study explores various coping strategies, including problem-focused, emotion-focused, avoidance-based, and existential approaches. It highlights the importance of stress resilience as a personal trait that enables students to adapt to challenging conditions. The authors present a level-based classification of coping strategies, ranging from instinctive reactions to conscious and spiritually oriented methods. The article emphasizes that the choice of coping strategy depends on individual psychological characteristics and the nature of the stressor. In the context of ongoing military conflict and educational overload, the development of effective coping mechanisms becomes crucial for maintaining psychological stability and ensuring successful learning outcomes. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of student stress and offer practical recommendations for enhancing resilience and emotional regulation in higher education settings. Important for overcoming stressful situations is the choice of optimal coping strategies that help maintain psychological health and ensure effective functioning in the learning environment. It has been established that the evolution of stress coping strategies demonstrates a gradual development from automatic, biologically conditioned reactions to more complex, conscious, socially and spiritually integrated forms of adaptation, which reflects an increase in the level of personal maturity and flexibility in overcoming life difficulties.
